Mom’s purple froth

 

The dress is open on the side in this photo i just wanted a straight on shot of the dress and did not dare close it up for fear of hurting it.
This is the smallest dress I am guessing mom wore it about 7th-9th  grade at the most which seems sort of odd considering the style of the dress.

Little gingham dress done but not done

I finished sewing the gingham dress on Sunday but I as most know can not leave something plain Jane or the way a pattern tells me to do.  I have to add something to make it a little more special or a little more me.

5 generations…1 little gingham dress

In some of the sewing stuff I received from mom was this tiny little unassuming box.  When I opened it it looked like some ones scraps from making a dress because the shapes where such strange shapes to me but on closer inspection it was a dress just not finished.

Mom’s screaming pink and purple plaid

This is the largest of the dresses and I would guess she wore it when she was pregnant with her oldest two children by the fact that the waist and chest measurement are the same.

This is a military inspired 6 button black sheath dress.  The dress is a true black just hard to photograph black. It isn't gun metal gray.
